Some May Feel We Don't Promote Ourselves Enough...

... and you may be right. We could post reasons why you should donate to our specific group all day every day.

But we don't. It's not about that.

It's about spreading awareness about hunger in Africa.

That's why we promote as many other organizations as possible.

We're all different runners in the same race.

Will you run with us?

Celebrity Support for the Cause!

Cincinnati Bengals wide reciever Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson may be well known for his spectacular performances on the football field, but he also has a giving side. Chad is always an active participant of fundraisers for charities that help benefit those less fortunate.

Here is a video of one of his fundraising events:

You can also read about it here.

"The Power of One"

Although this video may not be about our specific group, it ties in with the cause that we're trying to support: The end of starvation in Africa, one family at a time.

Study Tour in Kenya: Join Us for the Journey

2009-11-02

Study Tour in Kenya
ChildFund’s first Study Tour to Kenya
kicks off March 20, 2010, and we want you along for the journey!

For 11 days, participants will enjoy nights spent at the Nairobi Safari Club, the Amboseli Sopa Lodge and beautiful Lake Nakuru Lodge. Day tours will take in three of Kenya’s national parks, complete with a fascinating van photography safari of local flora, fauna and wildlife in each region.

From the base of Kilimanjaro to the depths of the Rift Valley, we will explore the ecosystems and migration of herds of native animals. Journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to observe the culture and daily life of the Massai people.

And, most important, join ChildFund staff on visits to a diverse array of programs that provide needed services to children and families of various tribal groups. For those who are sponsors, time will be set aside for a visit with your sponsored child during a special "Child Sponsorship Fun Day."

This fascinating country will be one of ChildFund’s more popular and exciting Study Tours to Africa in early 2010, so we urge you to confirm your reservations immediately. Space is limited.

Cost for the tour, including airfare on Royal Emirates Airlines from JKF to Nairobi, hotels, lodges, safari exploration and most meals is $5,475 per person, with a $525 single supplement fee.

We invite you to join us on this adventurous Study Tour to Kenya! Contact Betty Baatz at bbaatz@childfund.org for more information, or to confirm your reservation and receive the necessary forms. A valid passport and tourist visa are required for travel to Kenya. Your passport must be valid until at least October 2010.

An application deadline for the study tour has been set for Dec. 10. No applications will be accepted after that date.
